About this site

I created this site as a means to practice the skills of sitting, thinking, and writing. Use of AI is intentionally and diligently avoided, save for occasional minor editing and research, in an effort to preserve (or salvage) my ability to use my brain instead of outsourcing all thinking and creating to artificial intelligence. 

I expect the subjects I write about to be diverse, often without any underlying theme to links them besides my interest in them or my desire to learn and write about them. This means topics like the Hudson family history, geopolitics, architecture, horology, finance, books, and whatever else might tickle my fancy on any particular day.
